"El Merengue," the national dance of the Dominican Republic, is entrenched in the blood of Dominicans everywhere.

In its early history, the merengue was considered to be music of the lower class. Today, its rhythms move hips all around the world.

Throughout its time, the merengue has been captured by many visual artists. Including icons suchs as Jaime Colson, Ramón Oviedo and Yoryi Morel.
