Omar Molina

Omar Molina was born in 1977, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is the grandson and former pupil of the great Dominican artist, Ramón Oviedo.

From a very early age Molina demonstrated a passion for the arts, and when his mother, Aracelis Oviedo, who is also a painter, noticed her son's artistic ability, she immediately placed him under the tutelage of his grandfather.

When he was just seven years old, Molina won first prize in drawing contest "Pinta Tu Colegio (Paint Your School)," which was organized by the Las Américas Education Center (CELA).

Molina earned a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design from the Universidad APEC in Santo Domingo.
