Vladimir Velázquez


Vladimir Velázquez was born in 1963 in Santo Domingo, where he began his artistic training at the workshops of Candido Bido and Elias Delgado. Velázquez then continued his studies at the Altos de Chavon Art School in La Romana, where he worked under the artist Alberto Bass.

In 1988, Velázquez presented his first solo exhibition, titled "Agnus Dei."

At the XVII Biennial (1990), Velázquez received the first prize in Drawing for his work "Umbrea perversitatis" (mixed 1989).
